Luis has been a lead acoustics & vibrations consultant for educational, commercial, industrial, and transport developments since 2010.
He started Y-acoustics Ltd in 2017 with the aim of establishing a consultancy firm focused on innovation, transparency, and accessibility.

Luis is a member of the Institute of Acoustics and has recently received the EUR-ING title - the professional title of European Engineer awarded by FEANI (European Federation of National Engineering Associations).

The World Health Organisation (WHO) Environmental Noise Guidelines for the European Region document, provides strong evidence that noise is one of the top environmental hazards to both physical and mental health and well-being in the European Region.
Excessive noise interferes with people’s daily activities at work, at school, at home, and even during leisure time. Traffic noise alone is harmful to the health of almost every third person in the WHO European Region. One in five Europeans is regularly exposed to sound levels at night that could significantly damage health.
With growing concerns over climate change, the construction industry needs to adapt and reduce its impact on the environment, through the usage of renewable and recyclable resources and the protection of the natural environment.
In line with the issues that modern days societies face, we believe that our role is clear – to promote valuable acoustics & vibration design advice, prioritizing health, wellbeing and delivering high-quality sustainable buildings and environments.
In adopting a proactive approach, we are not limited to a set of requirements but instead help our clients to identify and explore opportunities for good design, enabling outstanding results and increased value.
The need for environmentally friendly materials and solutions requires consultancy professionals to continuously seek knowledge and develop new design skills and this is exactly what we do.
